Above, the Sunshine Kids beat Wednesday’s 100-degree heat with a float down the San Marcos River. At right, volunteers from the San Marcos Fire Department and the community at large assisted the group getting into the water at Sewell Park for their float to Rio Vista Falls. More than 20 young cancer patients are part of the 28th annual Sunshine Kids Hill Country Adventure, which has lasted all week. Earlier on Wednesday, the group toured the Texas Capitol.
