The City of San Marcos proclaimed Don Anders Day on June 3. Anders served as the photographer for the San Marcos Daily Record, then as the photographer for both Texas State University and the City of San Marcos from 1972 to 2007, and finally as the official City of San Marcos photographer from 2007 to present, totaling in approximately 50 years of San Marcos photos. In the 50 years of his employ, Anders has photographed hundreds of events, and thousands of city employees at proclamations, retirements, Christmas parties, festivals, Movies in Your Park, Music in the Park, portrait sessions and much, much more. Council approves ordinance on historic buildings

Demolition permits for historic buildings in San Marcos will be met with a delay following City Council’s decision this week.
