City survey to identify historic properties starts Monday
The city will begin Monday taking inventory of historic-age properties in neighborhoods throughout San Marcos as part of the My Historic SMTX survey.
Historians will be visiting neighborhoods within Phase 1 of the historic resources survey boundary Nov. 12-16, Nov. 19, and Nov. 26-30.
The survey to identify and document historic-age resources (50 years of age and older) and develop recommendations to help officals make decisions about historic resources for future planning and development initiatives.
Phase 2 of the survey is set to begin in February.
Residents may share information on potential historic resources and view a map showing the phases by visiting the city's website.
