Dusty Young

Dusty Young, a resident of Austin, died in mid-September at the age of 37. She was born Sept. 23, 1980 in San Marcos.

Proclaimed a “rock star” by her employer, Dusty was many things. She was a graduate of San Marcos High School who continued her education by becoming an alumni of the University of Texas at San Antonio. Following her many educational accomplishments, she became the Senior Director of the American Heart Association, where she received may award from various groups including the Austin Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by her mother Beth Babcock Cowan; fathers David Young and David Cowan; sister Rebekah Young-Kemp; brother Garrette Young and her 10-year-old nephew Trynt Kemp, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved family friends.

We will celebrate Dusty’s life on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Three Dudes Winery. All are welcome to come share in goodbyes and loving memories. If you are planning to attend please RSVP to Beth at 512-212-0347.
