Epifanio E. Velasquez

Epifanio E. Velasquez, a resident of San Marcos, has gone with our heavenly father on September 29, 2019, at the age of 86. He was born to Felipe and Prudencia Velasquez on January 15, 1933, in San Marcos, Texas.

Epifanio is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and his wife, Fidela.

He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in San Marcos.  He helped deliver Meals on Wheels and enjoyed helping others. He was a long-time member of the Holy Name Society and member of De Colores. He was a fan of the Astros and the Cowboys, and of wrestling.

He is survived by daughter, Maria Elena Perez and husband Edward, of Temple; grandsons Epifanio Lozano and wife Jennifer, and Michael Lozano of San Marcos; granddaughter Bianca Perez of Temple; great-grandchildren Levi, Kira and Novilyn Lozano, and step-granddaughters Mercedes and Madalynn Perez.  

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 3, 5-8 p.m., with Recitation of Rosary at 7 p.m., at Pennington Memorial Chapel.  Service will be Friday, October 4, 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in San Marcos.  Interment to follow at San Miguel Cemetery in Uhland, Texas.
