Julia Rodriguez Ramirez

Julia Rodriguez Ramirez, 74, a resident of San Marcos, Texas, passed away at her home on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 12, 1944, in San Marcos, Texas, to Margarito and Maria (Proa) Rodriguez. Julia will always be remembered as being a kind and gentle woman who worked hard and was always ready to help others. Most dear to Julia was her family and spending time with them. Family gatherings is what made her most happy.

Julia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lucio Ramirez, Sr., and her brother Albert Rodriguez. She is survived by her son Lucio Ramirez, Jr., son Rene Ramirez, son Tony Ramirez and his wife Ana, son Michael Ramirez, daughter Margarita Gonzales and her husband Daniel, daughter Minerva Lopez and her husband Frank, and son James Ramirez and his wife Jennifer, all of San Marcos. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Epifino (Ambrosia) Rodriguez, brother Mario (Stella) Rodriguez, sister Lupe Torres, sister Tomasa (Epifino) Pastrano, sister Teresa Perez, and sister Patsy (Rick) Carasco, also all of San Marcos.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, from 4 until 9 p.m. at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos. A Rosary will be recited that evening at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at St. John’s Catholic Church in San Marcos. Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas.
