Marla Stephenson Pullin

Marla Stephenson Pullin of San Marcos, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018, at the age of 49. She was born Feb. 6, 1969 in Fort Worth, Texas, to Marvin Douglas and Sheila (Martin) Stephenson.

She is survived by her parents; her husband, Craig Pullin; son, Cory Pullin of College Station; daughter, Leah Pullin of San Marcos; brother, Jay Stephenson (Tiffany) of N. Richland Hills; sister, Dena Silveri (Mike) of Delaware, Ohio; her mother-in-law, Mary King of San Marcos; several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Marla graduated from Georgetown High School in 1987 and attended Texas A&M University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 1993. She was a successful Accountant at Texas State University. She married her husband, Craig on Aug. 21, 1993 and they attended the New Braunfels Church of Christ.

Marla had a passion for genealogy, reading, writing poetry and visiting cemeteries to research family history. An avid Aggie fan, she loved everything Aggie. She will be enormously missed, especially for the love she willingly shared with others.

Family will receive friends at Pennington Funeral Home, Friday, July 6, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Marla’s life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, in the Pennington Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the San Marcos City Cemetery.
