Master Sergeant Domingo R Contreras Jr.
Master Sergeant Domingo R Contreras Jr., age 41, a resident of San Marcos, passed away Aug. 6, 2018. Domingo was born on Aug. 18, 1976 to Mary Lou Deardorff and Domingo Contreras Sr. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth H Contreras; daughters Abigail, Selena and Priscilla Contreras and Olivia Trevino; sons Sergio and Julian Contreras; granddaughter Emerie Elizabeth Jimenez; parents Mary Lou and Don Deardorff, Domingo and Sarah Contreras Sr.; sisters Cynthia, Monica and Amelia Contreras; brothers Jason Juarez, Justin Back and Dominick Contreras.
Domingo met the love of his life Elizabeth at age 16, and were married for 21 years. Shortly after, he joined the military and served our country for 21 years. During his time in service he did a tour in Iraq and volunteered, when needed, in hurricane relief. Domingo was one of a kind he always had everyone laughing and smiling with his unique sense of humor. He was also a die-hard 49ers fan and never missed a game. Domingo was a devoted husband and father and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
Domingo’s family will receive friends at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018 from 4 through 9 p.m. Domingo’s funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 17, 2018 at 10 a.m. and will take place at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos.
