Esequiel Pavia, Jr. (Zeke), 56 years of age, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018 after a battle with cancer.

Zeke was born and raised in San Marcos, TX. Born Dec. 1, 1961, Zeke was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His joy was spending time with family and friends. His long career as a convenience store manager (7-11, Sac-n-Pac, Stripes) gave him the platform to serve as his gift was giving to others. He made everyone feel special and his goal was to brighten the day.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Helen Pavia Martinez, brothers Gilbert Pavia and Danny Pavia, niece, Alejandra (Alex) Martinez, and nephews, Daniel Pavia, Jr., Matthew Pavia, and Mikael Pavia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frances Montana & Esequiel Pavia, Sr. and his sister Mary Ann Pavia.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Pennington Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in San Marcos and burial will follow at San Juan Cemetery in Prairie Lea, Texas.

Pall bearers will include Daniel Pavia, Jr., Matthew Pavia, Mikael Pavia, Ricky Pavia, Ruben Pavia, Tyler Montana, Bob Montana and Jesse Montana.
