Racism remains serious problem in Amercia

Thanks for printing Mr. Frank Arredondo’s letter for Sunday September 22nd, 2019 edition, the history that he pointed out is still prevalent today. I agree that Racism is and has been a serious problem in America and throughout the world.

Every segment of society has tasted the venom of this degrading practice. However, Big Boys and Girls in politics should know how the Game is played.

Politics has always been a dirty game and it hasn’t change from ancient days. Mr. Arredondo and others, especially Mr. Ruben Becerra our Hays County Judge should know and be aware that racism does exist and they are in positions to correct or change these evils and that is why they got into office. Therefore, if things don’t go their way, use the power and authority granted to them to help those who they know need help. We all know oppressive powers exist and are in office also, so do what we do best as true soldiers in arms ... stand your ground equally for everyone regardless of economic status. Our history has taught us that numerous Activists in the past have stood for what was rightfully right and not for the benefit of wealth. A true political warrior for the People leads by example.
