Spring weather comparison shows more rain is affecting vegetation

Central Texas is an area known for its unique climate and varied weather patterns. In the spring, the region experiences a shift in temperature and rainfall that can dramatically impact the environment and those who reside here. The Central Texas spring of 2022 was a time of mild temperatures and average rainfall, while the Central Texas spring of 2023 promises to be a stark contrast with high levels of precipitation and potentially severe weather events.

Bobcats split doubleheader

Texas State split Saturday's doubleheader at Coastal Carolina to salvage the road series. The Chanticleers took game one 13-6 and the Bobcats claimed the nightcap 10-8 to earn their first-ever win at Springs Brooks Stadium.

Husband has nickel-and-dime approach to family finances

DEAR ABBY: I’ve been married for more than 30 years. My husband and I split all bills and everything else. This has worked because, in life, I have always taken care of myself. My issue is his cheap attitude about every little dime. He always makes sure I pay my fair share TO THE PENNY, but when it comes to his reimbursing me, he usually rounds down to the dollar.

Crestwood Center will remain open

The Crestwood Center and the separate business adjacent to it, Ranch Road 12 Self Storage, have a tentative green light to stay in operation following mediated negotiations with the city of San Marcos’ Neighborhood Enhancement, which produced a working agreement on the construction of wastewater and sewer repairs.
