Texas State will look to get back into Sun Belt title races this week as both the mens and womens teams travel together for a pair of double headers this week against Arkansas State on Thursday and Louisiana Monroe on Saturday.

The Texas State WBB currently sits two games behind first place with a 1-2 record along with a 10-5 overall record.

After dropping their conference opener in a nail biter against Georgia Southern 70-69, the Bobcats bounced back with a big road win over Appalachian State 67-58.

Last Saturday saw Texas State lose another conference game on the road against Georgia State 6455.

Both Arkansas State and ULM in the same position as Texas State with both the Red Wolves and the Warhawks having 1-2 conference records.

Arkansas State lone win comes against Coastal Carolina while their losses come against James Madison and Marshall.

ULM lone win comes against Georgia State while the Warhawks have lost to James Madison and Georgia Southern.

It’s been a rough start to conference for the Texas State MBB as the Bobcats are currently in the middle of a four game losing streak while dropping their last three conference games.

The Bobcats sit tied for last place in the conference with an 0-3 conference record along with Louisiana Monroe and Old Dominion.

The road to Texas State’s first conference win will not be any easier as the Bobcats will face an Arkansas State squad who currently sits one game out of first place with a 2-1 record.

The Red Wolves are on a two game winning streak beating both Georgia Southern and Old Dominion after dropping their conference opener to Georgia State.

ULM is in a similar situation to Texas State with the Warhawks also sitting at 0-3 looking for their first win.

Both the Men’s and Women’s team will play Arkansas State on the road Thursday night.

Tip-off for the women’s game is scheduled for 5 p.m. followed by the men’s game at 7:30 p.m.
