Emily DeWalt has another reason to celebrate.

After helping Texas State earn a share of the Sun Belt regular season championship on Sunday, the freshman was named Setter of the Week by the conference on Monday.

DeWalt dished out 38 assists and dug out four balls in the Bobcats’ most recent win over Louisiana-Monroe. She notched her 17th double-double of the season two days earlier, racking up 51 assists and 18 digs in a win over Louisiana.

The two victories pushed Texas State’s win streak to 17, the third-longest run in school history and longest since the 2000 season.

This marks the Helotes native’s 11th weekly honor overall, breaking the conference’s record for most in a single season. DeWalt is up to five Freshman of the Week awards and is the first freshman to win multiple Setter of the Week laurels with six.

The Bobcats (22-5, 13-0 Sun Belt) will look to clinch the Sun Belt regular season title on the road as they travel to face Arkansas State (14-10, 6-5) on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Jonesboro, Ark.
