It’s always intense when No. 15 San Marcos plays Buda Hays.
The energy was just as you’d expect in a cross-county rivalry game, with jeers from opposing sidelines, student sections not allowing the other school to use the trash can on their side of the gym, and of course, four fiery sets of volleyball.
In their second District 26-6A match of the year, the Lady Rattlers beat the Lady Hawks, 3-1 (25-15, 23-25, 25-14, 25-20), inside the Snake Pit Tuesday evening. Head coach Jared Te’o was happy his team played in a wild environment early in the year.
