The San Marcos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship participated in the Annual PRIDE SMTX parade Saturday. Participants included Mary Pendergast, Nancy Ellis, Sarah Wren, SMUUF Social Justice Chair Jeannie Lewis, Rebecca Rockeymoore, Gil Fulmer, who drove the van pulling the float, Mike Russett, Mark Rockeymoore, Joel Johnson and Alex Mylius. Also on the float was the female singing group “The Resistance,” who sang all along the parade route. Jorrel Javier stood in front of a crowd of over 2,000 people seated in the stunning Nederlander Theatre in Chicago. Those 2,000 individuals clapped, yelled and hollered for the cast of the show.
