Outgoing Hays County Crime Stoppers (HCCS) Executive Director Don Arledge was honored Monday night with a special certificate of appreciation from Hays County Sheriff Gary Cutler. A long-time San Marcos resident and community volunteer, Arledge served as the executive director of HCCS for the past 12 years. Arledge and his wife Karen are moving to North Texas to be near family. Filling the executive director post will be current HCCS Board Chair Rowe Ray. “San Marcos will miss Don and Karen a great deal. Don has done an outstanding job with HCCS and he leaves some big shoes to fill. We wish Don and Karen the best in their new adventure,” Ray said.
