The subject of my journey this week is because of the pandemic and the resulting social distancing that has restricted me to my home. This down-time provided me with an opportunity to review my 45 years of writing daily journals.
Mr. & Mrs. James Bryant Jr. recently celebrated their 44th Anniversary of a wonderful and blissful marriage. Their original plan was to attend their grandson Edwin Taylor IV (son of Edwin and Michelle Smith Taylor of Spring, Texas) school track meet. However, it was cancelled due to school closing and track meet canceling because of the coronavirus.

“Your money or your life!” has never seemed so stark. But as an increasing number of local leaders tell us to lock things down in preparation for the coming storm, there are others — the top guy, in fact, along with choristers like Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick — trying to tell us this will only last a minute and that it’s time to get the economy back on track.
Since “Playboy” recently published its final print issue, and since I’m reading a biography of publishing magnate Conde Nast on my tablet, I felt it appropriate to share my misgivings about magazines.
