Amazon employees visited De Zavala Elementary School to share with them how the company packages and ships items during a presentation on Thursday, May 18. Students were given a virtual video tour of Amazon’s facilities. They learned about Amazon’s software, procedures, and daily operations.

It seems as people get older, the interest in history becomes increasingly important. Whether it is a family history and ancestry or past events that they recall. It seems as if when the senior citizens of today talk to the younger generations there is a lack of knowledge of individuals that made a change in history or even some of the major events that took place.

The Rotary Club of San Marcos sponsored its annual Scramble 4 Scholarships on May 12. The club successfully raising more than $10,000 that goes to funding numerous scholarships for San Marcos area seniors.
