AquaPots elegantly eliminate cool-season container anxieties

Container gardening through the winter is one of the great joys of living in the South and the new AquaPots have eliminated the last of the anxieties: watering and feeding. We all are used to watering and applying fertilizer in the summer, but it has been somewhat of a mystery or roll of the dice in the winter.

The Journey Continues

The Journey Continues: Veterans Patrol

My journey this week is a return visit to the Veterans Patrol, a faithbased organization in San Marcos with the mission of “Veterans standing together in faith to support each other for inner peace.” Veterans share a camaraderie and warmth of brotherhood when they meet. I always say, “I know your heart due to our unique military experiences.”

Cool Wave Pansies: New dimensions to mixed containers

During the summer, we think of flowers like petunias as those fragrant, spilling or tumbling flowers cascading over the rims of baskets and mixed containers. That same show of incredible color coupled with tantalizing fragrance can be achieved during the cool season with pansies like those of the Cool Wave series.
