Three teenagers were arrested in connection with vandalism that occurred in October at Johnson High School in Buda, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Warrants were issued for Paris Erhardt Foster, 17, Coleman Walker Johnson, 17 and Timothy Allen Sharp, 18, after the sheriff’s office reviewed school cameras, received a Crime Stoppers tips and interviewed several students. The three surrendered themselves and were charged with Graffiti of a School — a state jail felony.

Officials said that the sheriff’s office received a call at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20 that the front doors of Johnson High school were open and had graffiti on them.

The HCSO said deputies observed lettering spray painted on the front doors and glass as well as graffiti spray painted on the pillars. The school resource officer was notified on Monday, Oct. 21 that more graffiti was found at the football/track field, HCSO said. Officials added that graffiti was spray painted on the football field’s turf, the surrounding track, track and field station and visitor’s stadium seating.

According to the sheriff’s office, the total damages were approximately $160,000 with a portion of the track center logo on the football field needing replacement.

Officers identified four people  seen on the school camera. Warrants were issued on three of the four. The fourth person was not charged because they did not participate in the vandalism, the HCSO said.

Two of the three arrested attended Hays High School and the other attended Live Oak Academy.
