A benefit for a hero

Jayson Cormier didn’t expect the kind of support displayed at Hays Co. Bar-B-Que on Thursday. Lines wrapped around the tables inside the restaurant and stretched outside into the parking lot.

Wittliff: A TXST hero passes away

Bill Wittliff, a writer, filmmaker, photographer and founder of The Wittliff Collections at Texas State, died on Sunday, the University announced Monday.

Off to Seadrift: 2019 Texas Water Safari begins

The Texas Water Safari began Saturday morning at the Meadows Center with 176 entrants starting the 260-mile trek to Seadrift.
