City, SMFD break ground on Fire Training Center

The sounds of bulldozers clearing land filled the air Friday morning as a patch of land off Airport Highway will soon become home to the San Marcos Fire Department Fire Training Center.

Open houses continue for City of Kyle road bond projects

The City of Kyle recently began a round of open houses to inform voters about what’s on the November ballot. The city hosted its first event Saturday and the second event is set for Thursday, Oct. 20. The open houses are meant to provide an opportunity for voters to learn more about Proposition A, a road bond package featuring eight projects across the City of Kyle.

Kiwanis Club of San Marcos hosts annual banquet

The Kiwanis Club of San Marcos held its annual banquet at the Price Center on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022. New officers were installed and awards were presented. The local club is beginning its celebration of 100 years of community service in San Marcos. Several Kiwanis members presented the program “A Celebration of Our History.”
