City proclaims National Preservation Month

San Marcos Mayor Jane Hughson made a proclamation fitting for a city covered with historical buildings and rich with history. The month of may was deemed Historic Preservation Month. “Thank you all for what you do to contribute to the history, culture and beautification of our town,” Hughson said.

Rattlers fall to Lake Travis in thrilling three game series

San Marcos saw their season come to an end last Saturday as the Rattlers fell to Lake Travis in three games, losing to Cavaliers in Game 3 7-0.

SMUUF Sewing Guild donates children's quilts

The San Marcos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Sewing Guild meets weekly to create handmade children's quilts for families and children in the local area.
