The second Healing Hearts art show will have its opening night from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 2. Healing Hearts with local art

The healing process can often start by getting feelings out on paper. No matter what medium is used, the process of pouring out emotions through art in some form is cathartic and can mend a broken spirit. Cenikor, a national company with a local branch that provides drug and alcohol treatment services, has partnered with the San Marcos Arts League through the Project Awareness Intervention and Mobilization Program to host an art exhibit.

TXST Theatre presents The Three Sisters

The new play performed by the Texas State University Department of Theatre and Dance, The Three Sisters, is packed with action and emotion, including two tumultuous affairs, a fire that devastates the nearby town, and a duel that ends in the death of a major character.

CHRISTUS foundation to honor Penningtons at the Stars of Texas Gala

The CHRISTUS Santa Rosa San Marcos Foundation announced its upcoming Stars of Texas Gala on Thursday, May 2. As Hays County’s premiere annual black-tie event, the gala will honor community philanthropists Bill and Linda Pennington and feature entertainment by Straight Tequila Night.
