Wittliff Director discusses Edward Curtis’ indigenous photography collection

One of this nation’s first noted photographers, Edward Curtis, spent much of his career creating images that today are recognized as an attempt to create visual documentation of Native Americans.

Abbott: Battle continues over vouchers

As time runs out next week on the fourth special session, Gov. Greg Abbott said he will continue to fight for school choice, despite the Texas House once again decisively rejecting it when 21 Republicans largely from rural districts joined Democrats in stripping it from a $7.6 billion education bill. The Austin American-Statesman reported it is unclear what Abbott’s next move will be.

Texas State clinched their first winning season for the first time since 2014 as the Bobcats defeated Sun Belt West Division rival the South Alabama Jaguars, 52-44.

Bobcats defeat rival UTA for third win

Sophomore Jordan Mason made his season debut and was a spark plug on the offensive end as he scored a career-high 21 points, 19 coming in the second half, of Texas State’s (3-4) 73-66 win over UT Arlington Saturday afternoon at the College Park Center.
