The SMCISD Human Resources Department hosted a Guest Teacher Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, May 31. At the luncheon, the department offered its congratulations to all of its award recipients, including the Superstar Guest Teacher, Mrs. Rhoads, who was honored for working 144.5 days.

Family to discuss travels with club

Gary and Donnelle Gooch have been around the world–twice. Their most recent cruise took four months. The couple will relate some of their experiences in a presentation to the Rotary Club of San Marcos on Wednesday, June 7 at noon at the Holiday Inn Conference Center, 105 Bintu Drive. Visitors are always welcome at meetings.

Now, in our seventh year of providing community- based programming to engage, enlighten, and entertain you, KZSM is expanding! By the end of October, we will be on the FM dial with our familiar call letters, at a frequency to be determined. With this expansion, our mission will broaden to include emergency broadcasting, a responsibility that comes with the low-power FM license that has been donated to us by the City of San Marcos.

I received a text message on my phone from Darrell Rhodes earlier this week. He wanted me to look over a draft of the entry form for the Camp Ben 5K race he was planning. He just wanted some advice to make sure he had not missed any information. I read over the entry form and noticed the fee for the race seemed unusual.
