DEAR ABBY: I’ve always been close to my children, but now that they are adults, it seems I’m losing my connection with one of them. He married a girl of a different race, and while that doesn’t bother me, I have a strong hunch she’s the reason he has distanced himself from not only me, but also the rest of the family.
This November, voters from across the nation will cast their ballots for the next president of the United States. In a proactive approach to the election, Hays County has created the Elections Integrity Task Force comprised of the Hays County Elections Office, District Attorney’s Office and local law enforcement agencies in an effort to streamline the process for investigating allegations and maximize county resources.

Rudy Joe Luis Romero, 18, of Kyle, was arrested last week and charged with four felonies, including two counts of Aggravated Robbery after a string of incidents throughout Hays County.

DEAR ABBY: My sister-inlaw on my wife’s side stayed a week and a half with us in Florida. I love her very much, and we all had a lovely visit. She has stayed with us before, alone and with my brother-in-law. We welcome them with open arms. Family means a lot to us.

MLK March sees hundreds of locals in attendance
A Hays County Grand Jury determined that officers were justified in their actions involving an officer-involved shooting in Buda last year, according to a press release from Hays County District Attorney Kelly Higgins.
