Texas State Head Football coach GJ Kinne, who has guided the Bobcats to their best start in the program’s FBS history in his first year at the helm, has been named to the American Heart Association’s 2023 Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Watch List, the organization announced Tuesday.
Following their bye week, San Marcos Academy was back on the gridiron as the Bears notched their third victory of the season over the Austin Royals JV team, 49-0.
The San Marcos Police Department, along with other city departments, conducted a criminal trespass operation at the Sutton Apartments, 518 Linda Drive, on Friday, Oct. 13, which encompasses 84 total apartment units, according to a press release Monday.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is delisting 21 species from the Endangered Species Act due to extinction, including the San Marcos gambusia, a fish that was endemic to the San Marcos River.
The San Marcos City Council is set to receive a staff presentation and hold a public hearing today with regard to its considerations of approving both the Vision SMTX Comprehensive Plan and the Downtown Area Plan.
