Rattlers fast start leads to dominate win over the Laredo Johnson Wolves

San Marcos rolled to a 74-46 victory over Laredo LBJ off the back of a 19-6 first quarter that set the tone for the rest of the game. Rattlers’ fullcourt press and constant ball pressure disrupted the Wolves’ offense for 32 minutes, and the San Marcos’ offense capitalized off turnovers as well as executing their offensive sets.

It is getting close to Christmas and I usually write a column for individuals that have a running partner or friend that exchanges gifts. It is still two weeks away and I know some people wait until the time to buy a gift is only two days away. I knew one person that waited until Christmas Eve to buy a gift. The only downside to that is the gift idea you had in mind may be sold out or if you wait until Christmas Eve the store may close early. If the gift needs to be mailed you have five days to buy the gift, wrap the gift, wrap the gift for mailing, and to stand in line with all the other people that waited to mail the gift.

Bailiff continues to leave long-lasting legacy, stretching over 46 years

It was hard not to feel emotional for David Baillif, Special Assistant to Head Coach G.J. Kinne, as the Bobcats defeated Georgia Southern to earn their sixth win of the season to become bowl eligible nearly 18 years after Bailiff, then head coach, led Texas State to their first ever FCS playoff win over the Eagles in 2005.

San Marcos clinched their 10th win of the season as the Rattlers rolled past longtime rival Lockhart, defeating the Lions, 80-35.
