McCoil takes over defense as the Bobcats look to be more physical and disciplined

The Texas State defense will be under new leadership as safeties coach Dexter McCoil Sr. was promoted to defensive coordinator over the offseason following the departure of Jonathan Patke who became the new defensive coordinator for the Duke Blue Devils.

EAA declares increase to Stage 3

The Edwards Aquifer Authority declared an increase from Stage 2 to Stage 3 Critical Period Management permit reductions for Edwards groundwater permit holders in the San Antonio Pool of the EAA’s jurisdiction within Atascosa, Bexar, Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe, Hays and Medina counties.

Leadership San Marcos launches fundraising campaign for the Greater San Marcos Youth Shelter renovations

Leadership San Marcos, an all-volunteer organization of community leaders dedicated to fostering positive change, announced the commencement of a fundraising campaign to support renovation efforts at the Greater San Marcos Youth Council Crisis Shelter. This vital sanctuary provides refuge for abused and neglected children, offering them safety and support during times of crisis. Ten community volunteers are in the current Leadership Class. They have set a goal of raising $30,000 for shelter improvements by June and are asking for the community’s help to reach the goal.
