CONQUERING THE ELEMENTS: San Marcans weather effects of fierce winter storm

Some wore layers of clothing in their own homes just to stay warm. Others trekked through the snow to walk to their friends’ houses just to seek shelter. They waited in long lines searching for a bite to eat from a local restaurant, or to snag supplies from a grocery store.

San Marcos CISD, SMA remain closed through end of week

San Marcos Consolidated ISD and San Marcos Academy will remain closed through the end of the week as one final winter weather pattern blows through the area Thursday.
